Dear  Player,

The Lindisfarne Football Club is a very strong and traditional community based Club playing within the Southern Football League.  

Along with the Lindisfarne Junior Football Club, we are now putting in place a Junior Development Program that will enable young players an uninterrupted pathway from junior to senior football.  Talented players will be given all opportunities to be selected in elite programs.  In the last two years the Club has become a lot more professional and this has resulted in on field success.  In both in the 2008 and 2009 years the Club had success with both senior and reserve teams playing in the Grand Finals.  We are aiming to continue this success into 2010 but, in this case, with an under 18 team also in the finals for 2010.

The Club has extremely good facilities with a fine clubroom with bar and dining room, two ovals, training lights on both grounds, change rooms for up to four teams, and a kiosk. 

Senior player Scott Bester has been appointed Coach of the Colts (under 18) team and the very experienced Justin Rainbird appointed coach of the Seniors.  Club stalwart Kaine Menzie has stayed on as coach of the reserve team.  All are very enthusiastic about the coming season.

The new SFL will now consist of 14 teams with games played on Saturday.  A final eight will feature for the finals series (same as AFL).  All Colts (under 18) games will be played on the Saturday as a curtain raiser to the senior and reserves games.

We are inviting you, along with any other friends, to join the “TWO BLUES” and be a part of another successful year at Lindisfarne.

Training with the seniors has commenced.  Training is on Monday and Wednesday nights at 6pm at Geilston Bay High School and at 6pm Thursdays at Risdon Vale oval.  At this stage, training is not compulsory but you are most welcome to attend. 

There will be an information meeting and barbeque on Friday 26th February at 6pm.  It is being held at the rear garden area of the Willows Tavern Risdon Vale.  Senior players will also be in attendance.
