The game against Triabunna had to be moved to Pontville due to the council closing Anzac Park due to the ground conditions and it was a pleasure to play a game on a good surface in some good weather which is something we have not done for a while.
All the players appreciated the conditions we found ourselves in and played accordingly. We had a lot of run and we used each other at every opportunity, getting the ball into our forwards quickly.
Leigh Proud played an awesome game, kicking 16 goals and won the ball even when the opposition dropped another two in front of him. In a very good team effort, were everyone contributed and stuck to the team structures and rules it was an struggle to pick only six best players.
On the ball Matt Triffitt and Tom Robinson got a lot of the ball and up forward Brodie Phillips and Anthony Clifford were elusive and Matt Phillips played another good game.
This week we face Sorell at Pembroke Park and it will be interesting to see if we can maintain the good footy and 100% contribution from everybody when some more pressure is applied to us.
