After being competitive for the first quarter and only being 3 points down and playing some good football, we came out after the break and could only manage a whimper for the rest of the game and this was represented in the scoreboard as we only managed to score a disappointing three more points and lost the game by 102 points.
We struggled to find the right match ups for their tall’s and their on-ballers. We also continually turned the ball over with poor decision making and even poorer disposal. From these turnovers New Norfolk continually made us hurt on the scoreboard and physically we were challenged and we did not respond.
On a positive, we can match it with them when we are switched on and we also have a number of quality players to come back into the side. We are 7-1 which is a great achievement, but we must now get back on the winners list to consolidate our position again.
Andrew Clarke was hard as nails and continually was the one player in the bottom of the packs. The whole back line played well with Shaun Haberfield, Matt Stone and Trent Laird all playing their roles well.
Next week we take on Huonville who are now right behind us on the ladder and will keen to knock us off.
