Round 7 Seniors Report

In what was a good contest all day, I felt that we were a little sloppy with our skills which resulted in too many turnovers.  Our decision making at times was poor as we put ourselves under too much pressure during the match.

The first quarter saw us kicking into a slight breeze but we had plenty of the footy but struggled to put scoreboard pressure n the opposition, coming into quarter time with a 12 point lead.

The second quarter was much the same: giving our forwards plenty of opportunity but we failed to convert; kicking two goals and eight behinds, which allowed Claremont to stay in touch.

The second half was neck and neck with us finally putting a match-winning lead of 20 points halfway through the final term.

It wasn’t pretty, but it was good to come away with the victory.

This week is another tough challenge; fronting up against Huonville at Huonville.

Best player were:  D Scott, J Myers, J White, N Barton, D Bertoldo, and S Habberfield with J Tubb booting three goals up forward.
